The Whalers fall to the Freeze 5-3

The Wisconsin Whalers' defense had a poor night, allowing the La Crosse Freeze 38 shots throughout the game. The La Crosse Freeze took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Clayton Lackey.

John Vandervalk chipped in with 2 goals. Clayton Lackey delivered for his team with 2 goals and Connor Losen contributed with 2 assists.

In the second period, Mros opened the scoring for the Whalers with a goal at 7:51 with helpers from his linemates, Ether and Gille. Vandervalk quickly followed with a goal at 8:03. Hanno finally put La Crosse on the board with a goal at 16:20 with assists from Ratzloff and Losen.

In the third, Hanno deposited a goal at 2:40 with helpers from his teammates Ratzloff and Losen. Hanno netted a goal at 12:10. Vandervalk quickly followed with a goal at 14:06 with assists from Hanson and Marshman. Lackey quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:32 with a helper from his teammate Lindauer. Lackey put in a goal at 19:59 with an assist from Lindauer.

This loss brings the Wisconsin Whalers’ record to (13-20-1-1).
