Boscaccy's hat trick helped the Whalers crush the Bulldogs 7-0

Connor Boscaccy led the way with a hat trick as the Wisconsin Whalers crushed the Chicago Bulldogs 7-0 in a home game at Oregon Ice Arena in Wisconsin. Austin Lewis also had a big night with 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists). Moreover, Jacob Hough posted a shutout, stopping all 18 of Chicago shots throughout the game. The Wisconsin Whalers took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Connor Boscaccy and never looked back.

Ron Rentner contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Boscaccy opened the scoring for the Whalers with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:53 with a helper from his linemate Lewis. Richards quickly followed with a goal at 6:32 with an assist from Resch. Fortin deposited a goal at 10:00 with helpers from teammates Kuta and Steines. Lewis put in a goal at 14:04 with assists from Rentner and Boscaccy.

During the third period, Rentner netted a goal at 5:40 with helpers from Schlereth and Boscaccy. Boscaccy quickly followed with a goal at 6:29 with assists from Lewis and Artuso. Boscaccy put in a goal at 16:36 with helpers from his linemates, Lewis and Grobstick.

The Whalers’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Hough’s shutout, as he stopped all 18 of the shots he faced. Hough’s counterpart, Paloumpis, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 44, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Wisconsin Whalers’ record to (38-46-10-0)
